Chimene Court-Smith
Hello!
I am a nursery nurse for a reception class in Somerset. I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Child Care and Education and a Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education. I have worked with children in the 0-5 age range for approximately 8 years.
I am currently on maternity leave with my second child and I love being a mum!
I have always had a passion for reading and writing but never had the confidence to take my writing seriously. Until my first child son was born. It triggered the desire to attempt a dream that I had almost forgotten!
My interests in writing mainly lie in writing fiction for children. I have written several picture book stories to date but I am still seeking representation from a literary agent. My favorite is a series of stories about a wizard and his antics!
Writing for 'Suite 101' is a great opportunity to practise and develop my writing skills; it will hopefully give me the confidence boost I need to pursue my writing career. And in the meantime; my articles might be useful to other parents; child care students and professionals.
